I have begun putting together a series of pages to capture some of the best practices I’ve picked up while working as a programmer. So far I’ve completed sections on static domain data and general java domain objects. These articles are the first layer of code that ties directly to your data model and it is important to get correct.
I will be including more articles dealing with writing data access object layers with spring and finally tying together your DAO layers with business logic to enforce rules of saving and retrieving complex domain objects with code you write yourself instead of relying on complex frameworks.

Went to the panthers game this evening and was able to watch them win at home for 2nd time this season. It was 0-0 late in the game still but the Panthers D was salty and held the Seahawks from scoring a TD for 59:58. They finally did manage to find the end zone late to decrease the 10 point lead to a 3 point lead, but either way Carolina walked away with a very good win against a tough football team.

After waiting for nearly a decade to purchase a camera that met both my requirements and pricepoint, I finally broke down and got a new Canon SD850. I have only had it about a week but have gotten pretty comfortable with all of the controls both auto and manual. I was able to take some great photo’s yesterday while driving to my girlfriend’s parent’s house in Spartanburg, SC from Charlotte, NC. All of the following photos were taken from a moving car by Leigh herself. My personal favorite is the one with the cars on top of the bridge. Looks like a completely different planet.
