For roughly three years, the closet space was large enough to keep all of my clothes off the floor. However, when my girlfriend moved in, the additional weight of another person’s clothes pulled the closet hardware out of the drywall it was mounted to. For her birthday she went to the beach with her girlfriends giving me the perfect opportunity to upgrade our storage system.

The new system is manufactured by ClosetMaid and is mounted to the studs in multiple locations. With the added length of full mounting hardware I was able to use our old shelf for top level storage and include a second level with our closet rods for hanging garments. With the added length I was also able to install a shoe rack in the bottom rungs for additional storage. With the modular design i’m sure we will be adding some more storage features in the upcoming months.
